All year round golf for casual and competitive golfers

As a member of Farnham Golf Club Men’s Section you have access to a wide range of activities and facilities as part of the Full Members Golf Programme.

Casual Golf

If you are just looking to play some casual golf, we offer a wide range of options that give you the opportunity to enjoy the great game on our superb course.

Whether it is simply booking a tee-time for you, your friends and guests to play a round of golf, or whether you are wishing to meet up with other members in one of the many unstructured or social roll-ups, you can always find a casual round of golf at Farnham Golf Club.

We are known for being a very friendly club and you will soon find out how we got that reputation and you will be on your way to some great golf.

Organised Golf

There is a wide range of organised golf available to all our members either by gender, age or ability. Whether you are new to the game, like to play socially or competitively or an elite player looking to extend your game, our members’ Golf Programme here at Farnham Golf Club has something for you.

Golf Competitions

We have a proud tradition of member competitions and some are relatively new such as The Watson Cup and some have been running since the club was founded in 1896.

Farnham Golf Club offers a full programme of over 60 named member competitions which range from introductory competitions through to scratch tournaments. The competitions include men and senior men (over 60s) and we also run ladies, mixed and junior tournaments. These competitions cover all types of competitions medal, match-play, foursomes and greensomes and are run by the Members Competitions Committee.

In addition to these named competitions, there are some informal competitions that are run on a weekly or a monthly basis that allow a more social feel to a round of golf where fun is as much an ingredient as the competitive edge

In addition to members competitions we organise and hold matches both at home and away against local clubs on a regular basis. These matches can get serious when played in leagues such as the Border League or The Hog’s Back League, but in the main they are designed to bring like-minded teams together to play and then celebrate or commiserate together in the Clubhouse after the golf is over.

These matches are organised by the General Committee and there are team sheets where you can sign up and show you’re interested in playing.

Open Tournaments

We host a number of Open Tournaments where players of a similar ability or age are invited to come and compete on our great course. Members may also choose to enter some of these open events.
